Connect Telecom is the fastest growing telecoms company in Northern Ireland, leading in the NI and Scottish market as a Vodafone Total Communications Partner. In line with continued growth across NI and Scotland including two recent acquisitions, the Marketing Support role will cover various support activities for the NI market but also focusing on the new Carlisle and Aberdeen market places. Day to day the job role will cover mainly marketing, promotional and general admin duties as well as event management and attending networking events. The role initially will involve the below duties and responsibilities but will evolve over the coming months.

The role

  • Social media management: Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Annual awards entries
  • Email marketing campaign creation and monitoring
  • Website maintenance
  • Video testimonial creation, liaison with clients and video production, and promotion
  • Organising and promoting Connect events;
  • Managing company wide attendance at networking events
  • Liaising with our new teams in Carlisle and Aberdeen for marketing support
  • Research marketing activities for the Scottish and North England market and implement
  • Research and assistance with annual Vodafone Marketing funding submission
  • Sales support in relation to marketing material and promotion where appropriate
  • Support the management of our charity partnership, assisting with fundraising events
  • Assist in the management of sponsorship with sports teams, maximizing PR opportunities
  • Assistance with prepartion of quarterly and annual group meeting presentations

Position: B2B Business Development Manager / Sales

Location: Carlisle

Connect Telecom is one of the fastest growing telecoms organization, leading in the NI market as a Vodafone Total Communications Partner with recent acquisitions in Aberdeen and Carlisle. We are looking to expand our client base by recruiting excellence in sales from a new Business Development Executive to drive new business in the Carlisle area. If you are looking for an opportunity to join a progressive and expanding company, then we want to hear from you.

Sales experience is necessary but full solution and process training will be provided

The role

  • Develop Connect Telecom’s mobile revenues through new business development;
  • Understand and develop relationships within your territory to drive good business opportunities;
  • Ability to diagnose the client’s needs and propose the best solution to solve their problems;
  • Technically discuss and deliver mobile enterprise solutions and the benefits;
  • Manage client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle;
  • Conduct one-on-one and group sales presentations;
  • Continually provide written feedback to clients summarizing any engagement;
  • Communicate customer requirements to internal operational teams and product support teams;
  • Achieve defined sales targets and manage key performance indicators;
  • Responsible for tracking customer information, forecasts and reports.

Desired skills & experience

  • Must be able to demonstrate sales record (2+ years) at a high level of achievement in a highly competitive environment;
  • Lead generation and sales experience;
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to interact with any level within an organisation;
